Air defence downs 187 of 200 Russian aerial targets

On the night of September 15 (starting from 18:00 on September 14), Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 200 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones (among them jet-powered variants), Gerbera drones and Parodiya-type decoy drones, launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk and Millerovo in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The aerial attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence had shot down or suppressed 187 Russian UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones.

Russian aerial attack weapons struck seven locations, while debris from downed targets fell at three locations.
