The number of people injured in a Russian attack on Odessa has risen to eight, while a 24-storey residential building, office buildings and two educational institutions were damaged.
Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
“It was a difficult night for Odessa. The enemy once again launched a massive attack on the city. Infrastructure was hit. So far, eight people are known to have been injured, including one child. Two people have been hospitalised,” he said.
Lysak added that a 24-storey residential building was damaged, with apartments destroyed on several floors. Windows were shattered in nearby buildings, and vehicles were also damaged.
According to him, office buildings and two educational institutions also sustained damage.
Specialists continue to assess the consequences of the attack in several districts of the city.
Emergency and municipal services are working at the affected sites, while energy workers are trying to restore electricity supplies as quickly as possible.
