Ukraine is holding negotiations with Jordan and Kuwait on defense agreements. At the same time, requests for cooperation have been received from Bahrain and Oman, President Volodymyr Zelensky said during his evening address on March 30.
According to him, “historic agreements” have been reached on Ukrainian defense systems with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
The President noted that countries in the region are showing strong interest in cooperation. This includes the export of Ukrainian defense technologies, military experience, and protection systems.
"For Ukraine, this is not only a matter of prestige and respect for our people; it is a very concrete and practical matter. We are exporting our system of protection, the skills of our warriors, the knowledge that our state possesses. And from these countries – from our partners – we expect reciprocal security engagement," the President said.
In return, Ukraine expects to strengthen its air defense, develop joint defense production, and expand energy cooperation, including the supply of diesel fuel. Zelensky emphasized that these agreements are not only politically significant for Ukraine but also have practical value in wartime.
