As part of another repatriation effort, 528 bodies (remains) of fallen Ukrainian defenders were returned to Ukraine.
The return of the deceased was the result of coordinated joint work by the Joint Center for the Coordination of Search and Release of Prisoners of War under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Central Directorate for Civil-Military Cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the Ministry of Defense, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service, and other components of Ukraine’s security and defense sector.

Behind each such return lies complex interagency work aimed at bringing fallen defenders of Ukraine home so that their families can say a dignified farewell to their loved ones.
In the near future, investigative authorities together with forensic experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct the necessary examinations and ensure the identification of the repatriated bodies.
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with other state bodies, continues efforts to return the bodies of fallen Ukrainian defenders.
Eternal memory to the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
