More than 450 km of roads in the Sumy region have been equipped with anti-drone protection.

This was reported by Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

“Overall, more than 450 kilometers of roads across the region have already been equipped with anti-drone protection. Since last year, protection has been installed on roads in the Sumy community using local budget funds. So far, 47 kilometers have been protected, and this work continues,” the statement said.

Hryhorov added that, with government support, anti-drone protection will be installed along several dozen more kilometers of roads in Sumy.

He noted that Russian FPV drones remain a serious threat and that anti-drone structures have proven effective. Last week, such protection helped safeguard passengers on a regular bus during a Russian attack.
