Within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, 2,134 children abducted by Russia have already been returned to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
“Currently, 2,134 children have already been brought home as part of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative. But thousands of children are still in temporary occupation or on the territory of the Russian Federation,” he wrote.
Lubinets also noted that the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children now includes 49 participants.
“We are sincerely grateful to every country that joins this mission. In particular, Switzerland and Cyprus have recently joined,” he said.
The Commissioner added that over the past year he has held 126 international meetings with partners.
“At each of them, I emphasize that Russia does not respond to arguments; it responds only to strength. That is why sanctions and pressure must be increased. I am grateful to every country that takes steps to restore justice,” he said.
