193 Ukrainian servicemen are returning to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“193 Ukrainian warriors are returning home as part of an exchange. Servicemen from the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the National Police, and the State Special Transport Service. They defended Ukraine in various sectors. Among them are those against whom Russia has opened criminal cases, as well as wounded individuals,” the head of state wrote.

Zelenskyy emphasized that it is important that exchanges continue and that Ukrainians are returning home.

The previous prisoner exchange took place on April 11, when 175 defenders and seven civilians returned to Ukraine.

“I thank everyone who works for prisoner exchanges. Every unit at the front that helps replenish the exchange fund for Ukraine. I am grateful to all partners who assist in this process. We remember everyone and continue working every day to bring our people home from Russian captivity,” the President noted.
