On September 30, the Ministry of Development held the third meeting of the Competition Commission for selecting an investor for the Chornomorsk port public-private partnership. The commission was chaired by Deputy Minister of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine Andriy Kashuba. Also present were the deputy heads of the commission — First Deputy Minister Aliona Shkrum and Deputy Minister Maryna Denysiuk.
During the meeting, the commission members approved the involvement of 12 external experts in the work of the competition commission. Their candidacies were recommended by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation. The commission reviewed and approved revisions to the draft strategy for implementing and conducting the competition, as well as draft provisions on monitoring existing or potential threats to Ukraine’s national security during the competition.
All decisions were adopted unanimously. On October 2, a “question-and-answer” session was also held with the participation of commission members and advisors. During this meeting, participants discussed the draft instructions for applicants, which will be submitted for approval at the next meeting.
The next meeting of the competition commission is scheduled for next week.
