108 drones, 3 missiles: Ukraine downs 89 UAVs in overnight attack

On the night of May 6 (starting from 18:00 on May 5), the Russian forces attacked with 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region, 1 Kh-31 guided air-to-surface missile from the airspace of the Kursk region, as well as 108 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, along with decoy drones of the “Parodiya” type, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo (Russia), as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 89 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and “Parodiya” decoy drones in the north and east of the country.

Hits were recorded from 2 ballistic missiles, 1 guided air-to-surface missile, and 9 strike UAVs at 8 locations, as well as debris from downed targets falling at 1 location.
