Zaporizhstal, a steel plant in Zaporizhzhia, has shipped 28,000 tons of rolled steel since the beginning of this year to Metinvest’s pipe plant in Romania — Metinvest Tubular Iași, which became part of the group at the end of 2025.
According to information from the company on Thursday, April marks four months since the Metinvest Tubular IAȘI pipe plant joined the group. Over this period, the enterprise has been steadily integrating into the company’s production and management processes, increasing output and strengthening cooperation with other assets.
It is also noted that Zaporizhstal plays an important role in this process: today, the plant fully covers the Romanian facility’s needs for hot-rolled coil.
“Since the beginning of 2026, Zaporizhstal metallurgists have already shipped more than 28,000 tons of structural steel products to Iași. This material serves as the basis for producing round, profile, and rectangular welded pipes that meet European standards and are used in construction, energy, and geothermal engineering,” the press release states.
It is also emphasized that the synergy between Metinvest Group enterprises not only strengthens its position on the European market but also ensures stable utilization of Ukrainian production capacities.
Zaporizhstal is one of Ukraine’s largest industrial enterprises, whose products are in demand both domestically and in many countries worldwide.
