Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 50% more verified targets in March than in February, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“On average, Unmanned Systems Forces units now carry out more than 11,000 combat missions per day. At the same time, based on the results of March, 50% more verified targets were hit compared to February’s statistics. That is over 150,000,” he wrote on Facebook.
Syrskyi noted that during a meeting on the development of unmanned systems, the results of March were summarized and analyzed. In particular, compared to February, the total losses in Russian personnel inflicted by Ukrainian unmanned systems units increased by 29% in March.
“I would also like to highlight the growing effectiveness of our Middle Strike capabilities. Nearly 350 strikes at operational depth (30–120 km). A total of 143 enemy logistics facilities and depots were hit, 52 Russian army command posts, 20 oil and energy infrastructure facilities, and much more. This is the combined result of the work of domestic manufacturers of unmanned aerial systems, the growing skill of operators, and the organizational decisions we have made,” the commander-in-chief wrote.
According to him, Ukrainian ground-based robotic systems in March also increased the number of completed missions by more than 50% compared to February.
At the same time, the Russian forces are not standing still, Syrskyi noted. According to Ukrainian intelligence, as of early April, Russian forces have expanded their unmanned systems troops to 101,000 personnel, and by the end of 2026 they plan to increase this number to 165,500.
In addition, further development of unmanned systems units across different branches and services of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is ongoing.
“During the meeting, I heard reports, in particular, on the progress of capability development of unmanned systems units in the Ground Forces and the Territorial Defense Forces, as well as on the use of unmanned maritime vessels,” Syrskyi wrote.
He emphasized that a particularly valuable part of such meetings is the exchange of experience among representatives of combat brigades and battalions. He highlighted the comprehensive work of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Birds of Magyar” in detecting and destroying Russian UAV launch and landing sites.
“A telling figure: in March, 26% more enemy pilot positions were suppressed than in February,” he noted.
