Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk met with President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana in Paris, where they discussed the security situation in Ukraine, including the possibility of jointly supporting the construction of an underground school in one of Ukraine’s frontline regions as part of the Shelter Coalition.

According to Stefanchuk, the two sides discussed the consequences of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, exchanged views on the next stages of the peace process and coordinated their positions.

“We also discussed the protection of Ukrainian children. We talked about the possibility of joint patronage over the construction of an underground school in one of Ukraine's frontline regions as part of the Shelter Coalition,” Stefanchuk wrote on X.
