Russian forces have begun carrying out air and bomb strikes on transport infrastructure in Mykolaiv, primarily targeting sea and river ports, and have also intensified their use of Banderol loitering munitions.

Anastasiia Shevchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Group of Forces, reported this.

“It is worth noting that the nature of Russian operations in the Prydniprovskyi sector has changed somewhat. In particular, Russian forces have begun carrying out air and bomb strikes on transport infrastructure in Mykolaiv, mostly sea and river ports. They have also intensified the use of Banderol loitering munitions,” Shevchenko said.

According to the spokesperson, Russian forces are actively using tactical aviation and various types of strike drones to attack settlements near the line of contact.

The frontline cities and settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Marhanets and Komyshuvakha, as well as other communities close to the line of contact, are currently among those most heavily affected by Russian attacks.
