Russian drones, bombs and artillery struck Ukrainian regions

Russian forces continued attacks across Ukraine over the past day, killing two people in Zaporizhzhia region and injuring civilians in Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions. Residential buildings, businesses and civilian infrastructure were damaged.

In Zaporizhzhia region, two people were killed and three injured as Russian forces carried out 923 attacks on 51 settlements. Regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported 20 air strikes, 659 drone attacks, four multiple-launch rocket system strikes and 240 artillery attacks. Authorities received 43 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.

 

 

In Kherson region, 16 people were injured during Russian air strikes, drone attacks and artillery shelling over the past day. Eleven apartment buildings and 15 private houses were damaged, along with an administrative building, a shop and vehicles.

On the morning of August 31, a Russian drone also struck a healthcare facility in Kherson. Two employees, a 62-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman, suffered blast injuries, concussions and closed head injuries. Both were reported to be in moderate condition.

 

 

In Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces attacked four districts more than 10 times with drones, artillery and aerial bombs. A 38-year-old man was injured in Pavlohrad district and hospitalized in moderate condition. The attacks also damaged homes, vehicles, a bus stop and a business and caused several fires.

In Mykolaiv region, Shahed drones struck overnight, injuring a 44-year-old man in Mykolaiv district. A warehouse, seven trucks and two cars were damaged. Russian forces also launched FPV drone attacks on the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities, damaging two private houses.

In Sumy region, Russian forces carried out 30 attacks on 16 settlements in 11 communities between the mornings of August 30 and 31. The attacks involved artillery, mortars, FPV drones, other UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Residential buildings, an administrative building, vehicles and other civilian property were damaged.

In Donetsk region, a Russian FAB-500 aerial bomb struck central Sloviansk at around 4:20 a.m. on August 31, injuring four people. The strike destroyed part of an apartment building from the first to fifth floors as well as a private house. At least 32 apartment buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten and vehicles were also damaged.

 

 

In Kharkiv region, four civilians were injured as Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 13 other settlements. Three people — two women aged 42 and 43 and a 67-year-old man — were injured in Andriivka, while a 48-year-old man was wounded in Blyzniuky. Russian forces used guided aerial bombs and several types of drones, including Geran-2, Lancet, Molniya and FPV UAVs. Damage was reported to homes, power networks, vehicles and other property.
