In January, 48 DeepStrike fire missions were carried out against Russia’s oil and gas sector, resulting in a 19% reduction in overall oil refining in the Russian Federation.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“In the war against Ukrainians, the Russian army uses its ‘proven’ allies — frost and darkness. But the enemy will not succeed in breaking us,” Syrskyi said.
According to the general, in January the Armed Forces of Ukraine stabilized the situation at the front, stopped the Russian troops, and effectively destroyed its personnel and equipment.
Total Russian losses in the first month of the year amounted to 31.7 thousand personnel, which is 9,000 more than the volume of its reinforcements during the same period, Syrskyi emphasized.
“This trend must be continued and strengthened,” the general stressed.
Syrskyi reported that the status of combat and operational task execution had been analyzed, including repelling Russian air strikes, force manning and logistics, conducting engineering and fortification works, and maintaining law and order within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In January, 48 DeepStrike fire missions targeted Russia’s oil and gas sector. As a result, Syrskyi noted, overall oil refining in Russia was reduced by 19%, or 53.4 million tonnes per year.
The Air Force carried out 80 air strikes. Strike UAVs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine conducted more than 300,000 special missions.
As a result of strikes on Russian airfields, the eRussian use of guided aerial bombs decreased by 5%.
Despite an existing shortage of interceptors, air defense forces destroyed 21.7 thousand Russian aerial targets and 21.6 thousand UAVs of various types in January.
“Despite four years of full-scale war against a superior adversary, the Ukrainian military holds the line and continues to reduce the size of the Russian aggressor’s grouping,” Syrskyi said.
