In Kyiv, as a result of a massive Russian strike during the night of Thursday, August 28, 45 people are reported injured and eight killed.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this on Telegram.
“As of 08:30, the number of people injured in the Russian attack on Kyiv has risen to 45,” the statement reads.
“The third entrance of a five-story residential building has been completely destroyed. At the moment, we have information about seven people missing from this section,” said Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
He noted that two missile strikes hit near this building, and the number of damaged vehicles suggests that cluster munitions may have been used.
Klymenko added that 60 investigative teams are currently working at the site. Across Kyiv, around 500 rescuers, 1,000 police officers, and more than 100 units of engineering and other equipment are involved in response efforts.
“About 20 locations across the city are currently being handled by rescuers. Naturally, the police have completely cordoned off all impact sites to guard these buildings around the clock,” Klymenko said.
