Lviv region has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Federal State of Lower Austria on collaboration in energy, infrastructure, reconstruction, and related areas.
This was announced by Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
“Austria is among the strongest economies in Europe. Lower Austria is one of its most successful regions, with a developed industrial base, energy sector, and infrastructure. Its willingness to develop a partnership with Lviv region is an important sign of trust in our region. For businesses, investors, and international companies, this means: there are reliable partners and opportunities for development here,” the post reads.
It is noted that the sides agreed on cooperation in energy, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and reconstruction.

According to Kozytskyi, this opens opportunities for new investments, support for enterprises and job creation, joint renewable energy projects, exchange of experience between universities and hospitals, and the involvement of Austrian expertise in infrastructure reconstruction.
He added that Lviv region is already one of the key economic and logistical hubs between Ukraine and the EU.
“Our task is to consolidate this role and attract even more international business, technologies, and opportunities that will benefit communities, entrepreneurs, and residents of the region. We are working on this,” he said.
