During the night of May 4, drones attacked Moscow. The Russian OSINT channel ASTRA reports damage to a high-rise building on Mosfilmovskaya Street, saying it is located about 6 km from the Kremlin. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin also announced a drone attack on the Russian capital. Later, he claimed that two drones heading toward Moscow were “repelled” and that debris had fallen.

According to Mash, the strike hit the residential complex “House on Mosfilmovskaya.” A drone reportedly crashed into it around 1 a.m. As a result, in one of the apartments on the 36th floor, walls in three rooms were destroyed. Part of the façade fell onto a car parked near the building. Shards of glass and debris from the walls were scattered dozens of meters.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense summary, overnight air defenses “intercepted and destroyed” 117 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian territory. Drones were reported in the skies over the Moscow region, as well as Astrakhan, Belgorod, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, and other regions.

In response to the air attack, Russia’s aviation authority imposed restrictions on airport operations in Penza, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Samara, and Orenburg.

On the previous day, May 3, Ukrainian drones also attacked Moscow.
