Russian forces have already launched their spring-summer offensive campaign, so there is little reason to expect any further escalation.
This was stated on television by Viktor Trehubov, head of communications for the Joint Forces Grouping.
“As of now, they are already on the offensive; the active phase of the Russian spring campaign is underway. It is unlikely to intensify further because it is already at its peak. The question is when they will exhaust themselves, undergo another replenishment, and then perhaps try to do something again in the summer. But at the moment, they are not in a phase of accumulating resources, but rather of expending them,” Trehubov said.
According to him, the Russian army continues to make little use of armored vehicles because they have proven ineffective.
“Any attempt to weld another additional layer of protection onto a tank and turn it into something resembling an anthill is still ineffective. It will simply require one more drone to destroy it. Therefore, armored vehicles are now used very little, and motorcycles are used only to a limited extent,” the spokesperson explained.
At the same time, Trehubov noted that the front line is highly saturated with various types of UAVs, and a large number of unmanned ground vehicles will soon appear as well. He added that warm and dry weather is helping intensify the use of drones to strike Russian forces.
