7 killed and dozens injured in attacks across Ukraine

Russian attacks across several Ukrainian regions over the past day killed at least 7 people, with strikes damaging residential buildings, businesses, industrial facilities and other civilian infrastructure.

In Mykolaiv, four people were killed and 19 injured during a series of Russian attacks on September 9 and overnight into September 10. Russian forces used Shahed-238 drones, guided aerial bombs and Banderol-type weapons, targeting port and industrial infrastructure as well as civilian sites.

The victims were two women aged 45 and 64 and two men aged 49 and 53. Those injured included eight women aged between 18 and 71, eight men aged between 28 and 74, a two-year-old girl and boys aged one and eight.

An administrative building, a private house, a hotel, a garage, a warehouse, a vehicle and a penitentiary facility were among the sites damaged. Windows in an apartment building were also shattered.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, eight people were injured as Russian forces carried out more than 20 attacks on three districts using drones, artillery and an aerial bomb.

Five people were injured in Kryvyi Rih, two of whom were hospitalised. Apartment buildings and private houses were damaged. Three more people were injured in the Nikopol district, where a 60-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were hospitalised in serious condition. A lyceum, residential buildings and a private house were damaged.

 

 

In Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and three injured as Russian forces carried out 989 attacks on 53 settlements over the past day. The attacks included 20 air strikes, 790 drone attacks — predominantly using FPV drones — two strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems and 177 artillery attacks.

Regional authorities received 66 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes, vehicles and outbuildings.

In Kharkiv region, two people were injured after Russian forces struck the eastern outskirts of Izium with what authorities preliminarily identified as a guided aerial bomb at around 04:20 on September 10. Several private houses were damaged and a fire broke out in an outbuilding.

Kyiv was also targeted overnight. In the Holosiivskyi district, a Russian strike caused a fire in a two-storey non-residential building. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no casualties were reported.

In Donetsk region, one person was killed and 10 injured in Russian attacks on September 9. The fatality was recorded in Sloviansk, where another person was injured, while nine people were wounded in Kramatorsk.

According to regional authorities, Russian attacks have killed 4,291 civilians and injured 10,388 in Donetsk region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, excluding casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In Sumy region, a Russian drone attack on the Shostka community overnight killed a 49-year-old man and injured a 47-year-old woman. The man was killed in his home in the Ivot district. Residential buildings and non-residential premises were also damaged.
